Are you thinking about buying a home? Are you considering relocating to Washington DC or Maryland? Are you a First Time Home Buyer? Do you think you are ready to buy a house? These are all questions New Home Buyers should consider. Buying a home is an investment into your financial future and it is important to consider every aspect of the purchase prior to investing. If you have considered these questions and you have said yes to them, but you need down payment assistance, there are Washington DC Home Buying and Down Payment Assistance Programs and there are many Maryland First Time Home Buyer Programs available to help you with your purchase. We cover many of these programs in our new home buyer seminars.  We go over every aspect of the home buying experience and all the state and local programs available to help you purchase! If you are looking for an Exclusive Buyers Agent or Realestate agents that have experience with working with home buyers, you have found the right team!

Use the questions below to help you decide if you are ready to buy a home!

1.  Do you have a continuous, reliable, source of income?
2.  Have you been employed continuous for the last two years even if it has not been in the same job?
3.  Do you have a checking or savings account? If not, do you keep records of your payment history?
4.  Do you file an income tax return with the IRS each year?
5.  Do you pay your bills on time?
6.  Is your total monthly debt manageable? Can you afford those debts and a mortgage?
7.  Are all of your financial obligations accounted for?
8.  Do you have at least 3.5% to put down for a down payment?
9.  Do you have additional monies saved for closing cost?
10.Have you considered your mortgage payments in addition to other costs?(i.e utility bills, repairs, etc.)
11.Are you ready for the responsibility of property upkeep i.e mowing lawns and making repairs?
12.Are you ready for the home buying process?
13.If you have experienced financial difficulties in the past, can you prove that it was due to events beyond your control?

These are just questions that home buyers may want to consider when buying a home. If you have answered no to any of these questions, you may want to concentrate on strengthening those areas. As DC Real Estate Agents and Maryland Realtors, we can help you to further understand this process and help you to accomplish your real estate goals!
